Don’t worry about reading your lines directly from life’s script. A screenplay is refined through revisions. Edit on the fly! Make changes. Life requires creativity, flexibility, and agility.
Don’t be afraid of change. Be courageous. Ask questions. Deliver your best performance ever. Dive into your deepest truth. In the waters, we’re met with resistance, but that’s part of the beauty of making a splash. You’re stronger than you think. You develop strength when you flow. Ride the wave. Whether you go with or against the current, it takes effort to stay in motion. Sink or swim, they say. Fight, flight, freeze, or float. Those are our options.
Floating means we find peace in stillness or transition. It means we can breathe. It means we’ve reached at least a surface-level of understanding. Our feet are not touching the ground when we float. It can mean we are lighter than air. We are elated! We are in the presence of someone who cares.
In terms of currency, floating means a change of value. The joy of being human is that our soul is of infinite worth. We are each unique, moving like clouds in different shapes and patterns. We are a combination of letters and numbers reflecting a mystical union and a magical truth. Words and numerals don’t define us, but they describe us. At our core, we are unfathomable and unstoppable.
So, press pause when you need to. Recuperate. Recharge. Remember to immerse yourself in diverse cultures and languages. Rise above the noise. You’ll make music if you follow sound logic. Ha! There is a rhyme and a reason for tradition. It often protects our hearts from unlawful exposure. It often covers our otherwise naked soul. We don’t want to deceive ourselves as the emperor did when he strutted around in public with no clothes on. He was foolish to trust the charlatan tailors. It takes the observation of a child for laughter to arise in a village. Follow the rhythm of your heart. Dance to the beat of a different drummer. Be different. Be a difference-maker. Often, criticism is undeserved. We all relate on a human level, so we can identify with each other’s motivations. Stand out, but don’t expect applause, however comforting. Make personal wins, but don’t expect the world to fall at your feet. They don’t always recognize significant achievement. Just follow the path to making meaningful memories and when you’re done, the Lord will say “Well-done!”
Be proud of the progress you make. Mark milestones, however minor the victory. Make merry. You are a blessing to this world though you don’t own it. You are an important part of an integral whole. You are worth more than gold.

In her narrative essay, “The Script,” Yerusalem Work again “WOWs” us with her use of metaphorical figure of speech and imagery (e.g., visualizing one’s body in an ocean’s water or among clouds) in communicating a motivational message for us to float in calmness or swim against life’s currents in realizing the purpose and the spirit within us, which she reference as the true expression of our heart and soul. Ms. Work’s writings rival or exceed those of acclaimed female authors in terms of her creativity and literary sophistication. Her wisdom of the pen is reflective of her years of quality college education and her abundance of diverse book-readings.
"Edit on the fly. . ." I loved this point very much. Thank you, dear sister - this entire post resonated greatly with me today. 🥰🙏🏾
